1. How old were you when you started wearing make-up?I first started wearing a bit of mascara and eye liner here or there towards the end of year 7 (so i would have been 12) although I did not start wearing make-up fully until the end of year 10 (15)
2. How did you get into make-up?I think it was just the whole 'age' thing. Starting secondary school and seeing older 'prettier' girls in make-up made me want to experiment more.. although this didn't always go down to well.. *loss of eyebrows**laughs*
3. What are some of your favourite brands?I don't particularly have one favourite brand. I have favoured brands for different types of make-up for example Max Factor would be one of my favourite mascara brands and Natural Collection would be one of my favourite lipstick brands :)
4. What does make-up mean to you? This could be deep haha. I feel as though I use make-up as my kind of 'comfort blanket', which is a quality I really dislike about myself. I would love to walk freely barefaced without feeling I had the entire population staring and judging, but for me having always suffered with low confidence issues it really does help to build my self-esteem. I REALLY admire anyone who has the confidence to do that!
Number one would be my foundation. I always feel so much more happy and relaxed once I've evened out my skin. Next would have to be my concealer, having suffered with acne the scars that remain really do bother me and luckily concealer can help make them less visible. Then it would be mascara, I always feel bat-eyed with out it haha! and lastly would be my eyebrow pencil.. back to the experimenting and loss of eyebrows wagon.. *cringes*
5. If you could only wear 4 products on your face what would they be?
I like how you can have variety You can mix and match, change things around for different occasions which can make them more special. I love experimenting with different products, colours and techniques, also the confidence boost is a good thing for me!
6. What is your favourite thing about make-up?
I don't really think I have one product which would be classed as 'high end'. As I'm a student I don't have spare cash to splash on expensive make-up. The drug store brands which I use are perfectly capable of achieving what I want to create with my make-up so I'm quite happy with my drug store bits and bobs for now ;)
7. What do you think about drugstore make-up vs. high end make-up?
I'm not particularly an expert myself haha! I think that I've just learnt over the years what looks good on my face and what, quite frankly, doesn't. Just don't overload and keep to a minimum. The other thing I would say is don't wear to much skin products like foundation and concealer at a young age. Looking back I didn't need to, but I still jumped on the experimental bandwagon and wore it anyway, but I feel if I hadn't of bothered my skin now would probably be ten times better and I wouldn't have suffered from my acne as all I used to do was clog my pores!
8. What is one tip of advice you can give a beginner
I cant particularly think of one trend as such. I suppose this isn't really a 'trend' as such but I remember in my younger years at school every girl having a moose foundation and applying it on about two inches think..
9. What is one make-up trend you never understood?
I find it really useful. I really admire them all for being able to have to confidence to put their own thoughts and opinions of the internet for all to see. I'd love to have the confidence to do that.. but for now I feel blogging is much more in my scale ;)
10. What do you think about the beauty community on Youtube?
